The spinning appts. has a fibre supply device associated with a rotary spinning chamber which is followed by a belt driven twisting member carried by a sleeve. It is provided with an indicator which shows the position of the twisting member relative to the belt, when a yarn break occurs. The indicator is connected in the control circuit of the drive of the fibre supply device to block the yarn break sensor in order to prevent the drive to be started when the belt is out of contact with the twisting member. Pref. the indicator is connected in parallel with the sensor in the fibre supply device drive control circuit. The indicator is mounted on the housing in such a manner that it can co-operate with the brake lever through the intermediary of an interposer. The latter contact the lever when the twisting member and the belt are engaged drivingly and disengages the lever when the twisting member and the belt are out of driving contact.
