<p>The installation refrigerates a metarial before crushing, this treatment increasing its brittleness. The material (3) is loaded (1) into a tower (2) fitted with inclined baffles (4), these controlling the fall of the material through an atmosphere of liquefied nitrogen gas. A mobile flap (5), operated by a power cylinder (6) controlled by a load gauge (7), opens to deposit a measured quantity into a bath (8) of liquefied nitrogen. The charge remains on an inclined grid (12) and is submerged for the required treatment time. A ram (13) lowers the bath and a flap (17) discharges the load into the crusher (10, 11).</p> |
