Denture mounting in upper or lower jaw - using layer of wash-leather releasably secured to denture by self-adhesive base layer

Full dentures are secured in the upper or lower jaw, without the use of adhesives or fixing powders, by means of a layer of absorbent leather (wash leather) which is bonded to the dentures by means of a base layer. The base layer has a self-adhesive side which is first pressed on to the dentures (and which also permits the layers to be removed and renewed.) A water-insoluble adhesive is then applied to the base layer and the absorbent layer is pressed on. The absorbent layer is cut to the appropriate size as necessary.
