A metallic manometer employs a Bourdon tube fixed at one end. Movement of the free end is measured using a crank arm operating a pinion to which a pointer is attached. A manometer comprises a support (12) into which a Bourdon measuring tube (10) is soldered. A pointer assembly (20) comprises a pinion (22) on the pointer shaft. The pinion is driven by a toothed segment (24) on a pivoting (5) lever (26). This lever is moved by a crank arm (30) on a ferrule (16) on the end of the manometer tube (10). Deviation of the end of tube is transmitted via crank arm and lever to pointer shaft.
