The properties of a 1,2,3 superconductor ceramic body with a nominal composition of YBa2Cu3O7-x are found to be enhanced by the substitution of other anions. In particular the fluoride anion is found to increase the size of the platelets, increase the magnetic flux, and increase the mechanical strength of the body. The fluoride anion is introduced into the 1,2,3 superconductor by any cationic member of the 1,2,3 body. |
