<p>PURPOSE:To enable to decrease the average power consumption of memory unit, that is, heat dissipation, by providing the switch circuit and by supplying current to the memory only with data read out. CONSTITUTION:The switch circuit 6 to supply current to the power supply terminal of the non-volatile memory 1 is provided. The + power supply 2 is fed to the circuit 6 and the - power supply 3 is to memory 1, and the circuit 6 selected 4 is operated for the time required to read out the data from the memory 1, current is fed to the power supply terminal of the memory 1 directly connected to the circuit 6, the required data is read out from the memory 1 by applying the signal accessing the memory 1, and the content of the data is temporarily stored in the latch circuit 5. Accordingly, the average power fed to the memory unit constituted with the memory 1 can be reduced.</p> |
