The material is placed on a plate (3) on which it is stamped out. A punching arm (6) is fixed to a hollow column (5) which is moved vertically to bring the arm (6) over the plate (3) and then back. The arm (6) is moved by a hydraulic control unit (17), which has a servo piston (18), a pressure slide (20), an electromagnet (19), and a high pressure safety valve. The bottom cavity (32) of the pressure slide (20) is connected by means of a hydraulic duct (33) to the cavity of the power cylinder (7) for pivoting the punching arm (6). The cavity (23) of the servo piston (18) at the lifting end of the piston (11) of the power cylinder (8) is connected to the hydraulic flow line (39) by cavity of the power cylinder (8).
