The constructional component is made of thermoplastics material. It has a large surfaced component which includes a formation (3) which is symmetrical, and consists of a bulbous section rib enabling a snap-in connection to be made. A connecting component (2) has grooves (4) shaped to receive the ribs. When joined together, the first and second components can be easily separated.
