The freely oscillating trailing edge of aerofoil ensures favourable air flow away from the aerofoil. To the aerofoil trailing edge is connected a freely moving extension. The latter can consist of one piece or its parts may be connected as overlapping platelets. The moving extension can also carry an additional, freely oscillating rudder. The extensions used on the trailing edge can be made from flexible or rigid material.
