A semi-conductive composition having an unobviously constant resistivity over a wide temperature range along with excellent deformation resistance, strength, toughness and moisture pick-up resistance comprises a selectively hydrogenated thermoplastic elastomeric block copolymer of a monoalkenyl or monalkenylidene arene and a conjugated diene, an essentially crystalline polypropylene, a hydrocarbon oil and a conductive carbon black having an N2-adsorption surface area of greater than 800 m<2>/g and a pore volume of greater than 300 ml/100 g. Such compositions are especially superior for use as semi-conductive insulators for electrical conductors designed to carry electric current under a high voltage.
