The insert formed from a drug-free, water-soluble polymer material has a surface area of 5-800 mm<2>, a length of 1-30 mm and a width and height of 0.2-30 mm each. Under the action of moisture the polymer material slowly dissolves with formation of a tear-like liquid. The insert is suitable for keeping the eye moist and has a continuous, long-lasting effect. |
