<p>The beach towel can be rolled up and when rolled up can serve as a bag to carry objects in. The towel consists of a piece of material (1) which is an elongated trapezium in shape, and has a sprung steel strip (6) fixed flat along each of the two lengthwise sides (4, 5) and at least one of the small sides (2) of the material (1). The strip is between one and three centimetres wide. The side (3) comprising the large base of the trapezium incorporates a reinforcement (9) which canbe folded in the middle. Attachments (11) hold the towel when it has been rolled up from the smaller base (2) then folded in two. The large base (3) has an extension (7) serving as an envelope for the folded towel, and the folding reinforcement. An eyelet (13) near the fold (10) is for a pole (14) to go through anchoring the towel to the ground or supporting a sun shade.</p> |
