<p>PURPOSE:To enable measurement of a temperature distribution of a plurality of optical fibers to be measured with one set of system by arranging a light source into which a pulse laser light is made incident, a light branching means, a light directive connector, a detector and an optical fiber temperature sensor. CONSTITUTION:A pulse laser light from a semiconductor laser 11 is divided with a beam splitter 12 into a plurality of pulse laser lights and incident into five optical fibers 14 (1)-(5) to be measured after passing through a multi-channel acoustic optical element 13 yet to be driven. A return light from the fiber 14 is polarized only by one selectively with the element 13 driven to be introduced into a coupler 16. The return light transmitted to a detector 17 from the coupler 16 is converted into electricity and transmitted to a signal processor 18 to be digitized and transmitted to a computer 19 to be displayed as graphic and numeral data. This enables a distributed optical fiber temperature sensor to measure a temperature distribution of a plurality of optical fibers with one set of system.</p> |
