<p>N-substituted 6-oxamorphinans have been found to possess potent analgetic, narcotic antagonist, antitussive, and ADH inhibitory activity. A particularly preferred compound is (-)-17-cyclopropylmethyl-3-hydroxy-6-oxamorphinan. The compounds are prepared by total synthesis and are not derived from opium alkaloids.</p> |
