Plastics moulded driving mirror - has internal ribs to reinforce snap fastening edges

The driving mirror housing has a two part plastics moulding with a snap fastening using sprung tage (12) having ratchet teeth which grip over a ridge (7) on the other part of the housing. The tags are braced by ribs (20) moulded into the inside of the other part to prevent the mirror from loosening. The ribs are moulded to provide some stability to the housing as well as to prevent premature opening of the tags. The housing is made by thermo-plastics processing.
