Spectacle nose bridge support as claimed in DT 2545683 and comprising a pad made from silicone rubber with a shore hardness D os 10-20 is modified in that the pad supporting wire which has one end mounted in the spectacle frame has its other end soldered at to a length of Damacus steel having a faintly knurled portion which projects into the blind bore of the pad. Soldered joint may be located in or outside the bore.
