A V-shaped ramp (11) with a V-shaped groove (12) arranged at the lowermost point of the ramp is provided on the head carriage (1). A pivotally mounted roller lever (5) is arranged fixedly in place, is prestressed by a spring (6) in the direction of the ramp and can be moved by a push rod (4) against the prestressing. If the roller lever is released, it presses on the V-shaped ramp and, by means of the latter, guides the head carriage into its starting position, which is determined by the reaching of the V-shaped groove. The device serves the purpose of transferring the head carriage of a disk store for data processing systems into a defined starting position and fixing it in this position when the unit is switched off. <IMAGE>
