The new stake may be formed in one or two parts so as to consist of an outer tube of synthetic foamed material and an inner rod of hard wood or PVC. The outer tube is 28 cm or 120 cm long and 5 cm in diameter. The rod is a third to a fifth of the outer diameter and is fixed by glueing. The bottom end is redced in diameter to 7 mm over a length of 20 mm and the stick has a 7 mm bore at its top end. The rod projects from the tube so that one stake can be inserted into another.
