Centring gauge for non-circular work - has slide with centring hole movable to any point on workpiece set by perpendicular scales

The centering gauge is attached to a workpiece by clamping screws. A slide with a centering hole can be moved in the x- and y-axis so that any point on the workpiece can be reached. When the workpiece is to be drilled the slide is secured. A scale enables adjustment to be made to an accuracy of 0.02 mm. Use of the gauge avoids having to score or centre punch the workpiece.
