<p>A continuous cylindrical mixer for liquids and powdered/granulated/fibrous/chip solids has a cylindrical mixing chamber with inlet, an adjacent cylindrical mass-forming zone, inlet for the liq., mixing area and outlet, and a through high-speed mixer shaft carrying the operating tools. The individual tool has a blade, at least in the area between the inlet and cylindrical zone, it rotates on the shaft and has a radial web. Design provides minimum impact/compression/shear and friction forces on the particles but optimum acceleration and shortest possible axial components in the cylindrical zone plus adequate axial movement; particles are thus liable to minimum change in their structure; suitable for e.g. resin/wood chips.</p> |
