<p>Flores graminis, herba melitoti, herba thymi or similar hay flowers (or their mixts.) are used, as extracts, together with wood ash and salt to make baths for healing inflammation of the gastric mucosa. The solid residues left after extn. of the plants are used as stomach compresses. Pref, the extract is made by steeping 500-600 g. plant material, opt. in a water-permeable container, in 5 l. boiling water for 15 mins. The container, e.g. of unbleached cotton or linen, is then removed, squeezed out and the liq. phase mixed with about 500 l. water at 30-40 degrees C.</p> |
