A measurement head (2) is inserted into body cavities, e.g. for raking ECGs by an electrode (6) of babies before or during birth, by sheathing it a cylindrical housing (1) whence it is expelled by rotating a drive member (3). The head (2) and the member (3) both have guide slots (14, 14a) cooperating with projections (20, 20a). The head (2) initially is rotated by the drive member (3) until projection (20a) reaches the terminal slot portion (15) and the head (2) is axially separable, the projection (20) passing out of slot exit portion (19). The drive tube (4) is flexible, and removably secured to an extension of the drive member. The electrode (6) becomes screwed into the skin.
|
