In an ink supply system for a printing head, the ink is led through an elastically deformable tube (1) coiled in at least two layers around a core (3). Resilient support is provided between the layers or between the innermost layer and the core. To this end, the core may have an inflated resiliently deformable sheath (2) on which the innermost tube layer is coiled. Alternatively the tube may be wound alternately with air-inflated resilient tubing.
