A protective rail of metal or plastics tubular section is clipped to supports fitted with suction cups for attaching to the sides of the car when it is parked. The rails protrude outwards and prevent any car doors from being swung into the car. One of the suction pads can be fitted over the door lock complete with an anti theft alarm. The separate pads are released by a manual valve. The protection is simple and rapid to fit and is carried in the boot when not used.
