<p>The two individual quilt sections(2, 3) can be detachably joined together to form one quilt by at least one slide fastener(6) which engages round the edges(4, 5) of the two pieces. The seam(7) which is used to join the upper material layer(8) to the bottom layer(9) of each individual quilt forms at the same time the fastening seam for the peripheral strip (10) of the slide fastener. The space between the layers can be filled with the required filling right up to the outermost edge which is formed by the seam(7). The peripheral strip(10) is covered on one side by the upper material layer(8) and on the other by the bottom material layer(9) for a smooth finish.</p> |
