Support unit passes through the sleeve and engages it underneath from inside, with a conically upward tapering covering unit with its max. cross-section protruding beyond the support unit's periphery. Spacer members (9) are fastened in the area of the covering unit (5), for bracing against the inside walling of the chimney. - These are pref. fitted in the area of the bottom, widest, edge of the covering unit, and may be in the form of sliding rails led in the corners of the original chimney cross-section.
