Sliver high pile fabric knitting machine - with increased pile fibre retaining fabric courses per revolution of cylinder

One or more of the silver and yarn feeding stations of the knitting machine are modified. This allows the machine to knit two or more fibre retaining fabric courses for each revolution of the cylinder. Each station has a feed for delivering a number of spaced rovings of sliver fibres to separate fixed locations of the needle circle. A number of yarn feeds, knitting cams and air nozzles are located at each station. These are angularly spaced and associated with a separative roving fed by the sliver feed. Used for multifeeding slivers to circular knitting machines for high pile fabrics. Increased production of a stable fabric is achieved.
