The beam, for nailing in position, is suitable for holiday homes, sheds, fences, or internal or external walls of any thickness. It is made from well preserved square timber waste pieces, impregnated, and planed and unplaned, with pattern cut in, or coloured. Lengths may be anything from 0.10 to 1.20 m. Such timbers are laid together in a continuous line without joint gaps, coated with glue and nailed. Screws may be used in walls subject to heavy loading.
