<p>A gas or liquid flowing through a tube(8) is sterilised by UV light from parallel tubes(7). The tubes(7) and reflectors(6) are mounted in the upper and lower halves(1) of a housing. The housing halves, together with the light tubes and reflectors, are removable without disturbing the flow of gas/liquid. The housing halves are mounted on the housing end pieces on the supply tube(8). The light tubes(7) are mounted on the reflectors(6). Indicating lights are provided on the housing to show which light tubes are inoperative, since the housing is closed to prevent the emission of damaging radiation.</p> |
