The safety and control device is for a gas burner supplying instant hot water to a bath and without a permanent pilot flame. A tapping from the gas main supplies a temporary pilot flame, whose ignition is controlled by a water valve. A low-inertia heat-sensitive component acts via a small valve on the control diaphragm of a mechanism simultaneously actuating the gas valves for the burner and pilot flame. This mechanism is held in the position admitting gas to the burner by an additional device interlocked both with the burner ignition and the opening of the water valve. The device can be a thermocouple circuit near the flames from the burner. This acts via an electromagnet on a plate coupled to the mechanism.
|
