<p>The saw, for use in agriculture or forestry, has a saw-blade driven by a motor, and a handle with operating switch. An extensible retainer device (8) is fitted between saw blade (4) and handle (9). The saw blade, with transmission unit (2) and motor (1), may be mounted as a single entity at one end, and the handle at the other end of the retainer unit; or handle and motor may be at one end, and saw blade and transmission at the other. The retainer device can be tubular, with a cable (11) or shaft or similar connecting element, inside it. Motor and/or transmission unit may be mounted coaxially with it. It may be telescopically extensible, with setscrews (12) for locking it in position.</p> |
