Spray gun for applying liq. polishing or milling media has a slidable metal needle in a nozzle orifice for controlling delivery of the medium being sprayed. The needle has a plastics tip. The tip and/or the nozzle orifice is/are made of glass-fibre-reinforced unsatd. polyester; the glass-fibres being aligned in direction of the flow of the polishing or milling medium. The plastics tip has an internal screw thread by means of which it is mounted upon the leading, also screw-threaded, end of the metal needle. The device ensures accurate dosing of discharged material even for relatively protracted lengths of time.
