<p>The valve allows escape of gas under pressure from the inside of a metal coffin, fitting on the inside surface of the coffin wall and having a retainer valve and a filter purifying the gases resulting from putrefaction mounted in series. The gases are allowed to escape whenever their pressure reaches a predetermined level, by opening the valve for short periods. The filter is mounted downstream of the valve, so that the element, enclosed in the housing, only comes into contact with the gases to be purified during the short periods when the valve is open.</p> |
