PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide color photographic sensitive material having well-balanced light, heat and moisture resistances and high color reproducibility by incorporating a specified magenta coupler into at least one of silver halide emulsion layers and an ultraviolet absorber into a layer formed on the outside of the emulsion layer opposite to a support. CONSTITUTION:When one or more silver halide emulsion layers and one or more nonphotosensitive layers are formed on a support to obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material, a magenta coupler represented by general formula I [where each of Za and Zb is =CH-, =C-(-R2, side chain) or =N-, each of R1 and R2 is H or a substituent and X is H or a group eliminable by a coupling reaction with the oxidized product of an aromatic primary amine developing agent] is incorporated into at least one of the emulsion layers, and an ultraviolet absorber is incorporated into a layer formed on the outside of the emulsion layer opposite to the support. 2-(2'-Hydroxyphenyl)benzotriazole or other prescribed compound is used as the ultraviolet absorber. |
