When a specified lowest end of discharge voltage is reached, the load is disconnected from the battery by a switch controlled by a monitoring device. The switch is formed by at least one semiconductor component (T1) through which the battery (B) current flows both to the load (G) and to the monitoring device. When the end of discharge voltage is reached, the semiconductor is polarised in blocking direction and remains blocked without any power consumption. Preferably, the semiconductor forms part of the monitoring device, which has in addition a second semiconductor (T2) and two voltage dividers (R3, R4; R1, R2), dependent on output voltages of the two semiconductors. The blocking semiconductors polarity can be changed only by an external signal.
|
