The present invention relates to a device for fastening the top of a tent sheet at the upper end of the central post of a lightweight shelter. This device is characterised in that it comprises two cups with frustoconical lateral skirts 4b, 5b, widening in the downward direction, fitting inside each other, and having approximately the same angle of conicity, and means 6 for clasping the two cups 4, 5, one inside the other, so as to bring the frustoconical lateral skirts 4b, 5b closer together and clamp between them the edge region of the sheet 2 forming the top of the latter. <IMAGE>
