DEPTH CHARGE IGNITER

A depth charge igniter comprises a piston movable in a housing and provided with a firing pin for hitting a percussion cap when acted on by the surrounding water pressure. A shear ring holding the piston to the housing is arranged to be sheared off at a certain water pressure depending on the circumferential length of the shear ring in engagement between the piston and the housing. This length is easily adjustable.
