<p>This web of material (1) having successive blanks (2) for folding cardboard containers has longitudinal fold lines (4) bounding longitudinal zones (5-9) for folding the container side walls and, in each blank (2) which is separated from the next one by a separation line (3), has transverse fold lines (10) bounding transverse zones (12, 14 and 11, 15) for folding the container end faces and the closure folding seams. Openings (18) are cut into the cardboard web at the separation lines (3) in the longitudinal zones (6, 8) located opposite one another after folding, which cardboard web is then coated on one or both sides with a plastic coating which covers the openings (18). After folding, the layers of plastic covering the openings (18) located adjacently in the web lie one above the other in the region of the closure folding seam and between two outer cardboard regions, such that, after the closure of the folding seam by means of hot pressing rollers, the outer cardboard regions are bonded in a leak-proof manner by the melted, abundant plastic material of the doubled layer of plastic. <IMAGE></p> |
