Waste thermal energy utilisation unit - stores waste heat for displacing weights vertically for recovering work

The plant for utilising waste heat generated from the combustion of primary energy sources burns refuse or clarification sludges. Alternatively the waste heat from chemical processes is utilised. Heat exchangers are used and the waste heat is converted by heat pumps or with refrigeration units. The waste heat is transferred to solid, liquid or gaseous media, this heat is stored by these media and converted into work on request. The stored thermal energy causes volume change of different media. An additional material is caused to change its vertical position by this volume change. Raised floats do work due to the gravity on falling. The medium is returned to the system for repeating the process.
