<p>The cushion is designed to seat infants in a motor vehicle with safety. It positions the infant in the correct relationship to an adult seat-belt or harness. The cushion (2) is placed on a vehicle seat to elevate the infant and has arm-rests (17) which cantilever forward. The projections of the arm-rests co-operate with a contoured raised perimeter (3) of the seat to form open-ended keyhole slot (8). The slots (8) locate the two extremities of a lap belt (8), thus automatically locating the diagonal belt (13) over the chest of the infant and preventing the movement of the cushion (2) relative to teh seat of the automobile. The thickness of the cushion may be adjustable and the top surface may be recess-contoured.</p> |
