Stop for a soft-sealing disc of a check valve involves the disc being made of a metal base body with a flexible overcoat. The base body (5) has several cams distributed over its periphery in the area of the sealing surface (3). The height of the cams is less than the sheet thickness of the flexible overcoat (6). Between the sealing surface of the flexible overcoat (6) and the cams there is a ring groove. The valve disc (1) is fitted to a housing cover (2), and locates on the sealing surface (3) of the housing (4). The wave-shaped formation of the soft seal or overcoat facilitates permissible deformation and, at the same time, under low pressure, an adequate specific surface pressure.
