PURPOSE:To prevent the reliability of an magneto-optical disk from being degraded by destructing the data part of a sector not to record correctly data after the shifting sector processing. CONSTITUTION:After an optical disk is recorded, the data to be confirmed are reproduced and data are confirmed with a comparator 21 and an error correcting encoding circuit 4. When the data are not correctly recorded, the shifting sector is newly provided for the sector and the data to be recorded to a defective sector are recorded to the shifting sector. Next, the data destructing action preparation is instructed to a control controller 10a. After the data are surely recorded to the shifting sector, the controller 10a stops a modulating circuit 6, executes the action waiting of a data destructing circuit 22 and the action preparation completion is informed to a control 1. When the controller 1 reproduces respective sector addresses and an address confirming circuit 5 discovers the defective sector, the circuit 22 is operated and the data part of the defective sector is destructed. |
