<p>The equipment stores components of different types delivered in succession, and enables selected items to be extracted from it as desired. It comprises a large number of storage positions, to each of which an identification value is allocated. The incoming items are delivered into selected positions dependent on signals representing their various ordinates. The selected items are extracted under the control of further signals also representing these ordinates. Each position can be an oblong chamber, open at one or both ends,while all positions are parallel. Where the positions are open at both ends, the loading mechanism can serve one end and extraction mechanism the other.</p> |
