The present invention relates to the production of a medicinal wound dressing comprising a polyurethane foam wherein a non-compressed, open-celled original polyurethane soft foam material film with a thickness of 0.5 to 10mm. is softened on one surface, without thermal decomposition, up to stickiness and bonded to a polyurethane soft foam material film which has been completely irreversibly compressed 2 to 30 fold and with a thickness of 0.1 to 2 mm. in a gas- and water vapour-permeable manner, optionally followed by physical and/or chemical cleaning.
