<p>New pesticide compsns. contain 5-dimethylamino-1,2,3-trithiane (I) or its agriculturally acceptable acid addn. salt, together with any other insecticide. (I) increases the activity of other insecticides (including)microbiological insecticides such as Bacillus thuringiensis). In an example, cotton plants severely infested with Heliothis spp. (10% H. zea, 90% H. virescens) are sprayed at 5-day intervals from August to September with 500 g/ha (I) and 150 g/ha Bacillus thuringiensis. The proportion of (I) to the other insecticide is pref. 0.02:1-6:1 esp. 0.02:1-3:1 w/w.</p> |
