A connector is used for coaxial cables which can accommodate a range of inner conductor diameters. The length of the connector is sufficiently short to minimise impedance mismatching. The connector may be panel mounted at its forward end by a turned over lip. The inner electrode is held within an insulating block at the forward end and it is extended into the connector body as a sprung flat strip hair-pin (9a, 9c) which grips the incoming cable centre conductor (14) between its two inwardly bent ends (9b, 9d, 9e). The outer conductor (15) is trapped by a bush (6) against the connector walls.
|
