Finish grinding machine for opposite conical seats - has spindle with two grinding wheels and feed-in mechanisms for seats

The internal grinding machine grinds internal conical coaxial seats into a ring. These seats are of opposite taper and their diameter increase towards the ring end faces. The ring is finish ground in one setting by means of an additional grinding wheel and conventional feed arrangement. Each of the two internal conical seats is ground by a separate grinding wheel (5, 6). Both wheels (5, 6) are arranged coaxially side by side on the common grinding spindle (4). The feed-in mechanism carries out two opposite movements of work piece (1) relative to grinding spindle (4). Each feed-in is carried out by a separate drive. The dressing mechanism for each grinding wheel has its own dressing tool which is indepently adjustable.
