PURPOSE:To shorten a fast copy time by detecting a state of an original depression means by a switching detection means and an original set state by an original detection means and turning a turning deflection means before a start button is depressed. CONSTITUTION:When a power switch is closed, an optical control section 55 and an operation section 54 are reset by a main control board 50 and a turning signal is outputted to a polygon motor 57. Then setting of an original is detected by an original detection sensor 41 and the depression of the original is detected by a press plate switch 32, then the drive of the motor 57 is started. On the other hand, when no copy operation start signal comes within picture time or after a prescribed time elapses from the detection of discharge of final copy paper, a control signal for stopping the motor 57 is outputted. The motor is driven in precedence over the depression of the start button and stopped at the undesired state, then the fast copy time is reduced and noise in the standby state is reduced. |
