<p>A principal, driven roller conveyor (a) moves the panes in one main horizontal direction (F) onto a junction where two transverse roller conveyors (b, c) are located at 90 degrees to direction (F) and move the panes in opposite directions. In the junction are two sets of conveyor belts (d, e) which are driven independently of each other. Belts (d, e) are mounted on a frame which can be raised so the panes are lifted off track (a) and are driven by belts (d, e) onto tracks (b, c). The two sets of belts (d, e) are pref. driven simultaneously but in opposite directions leading to tracks (b, c). The belts (d, e) may also be tilted and used to break one pane along a scored line to form two separate panes moved onto tracks (b, c). Two panes travelling along one conveyor (a) may be moved onto different tracks (b, c); and/or one pane can be split in two.</p> |
