The toothed intermediary element of the very high step-down gear unit comprises an internally toothed ring gear. This is movable by an eccentric (7) turning with the drive shaft (1) in a tumbling movement about the axis (5) of the output side gear wheell (3). A relationship exists between the dia. (D) of the ring gear (4), th dia. (d) of the output side gear wheel (3), the step down ratio (i) between the driving shaft and gear wheel (3) and the eccentricity (e) of the eccentric; i = d/(D-d) and 2e = D-d.
